White Horse Seltic 0 – 9 Chelmsford City

CHELMSFORD City enjoyed a straightforward league victory on the Suffolk coast on Sunday.

Goals from Laura Brown (3), Sarah Jolly (2), Ashleigh Harding, Lisa Nepean, Emma Wells and an Own Goal secured City’s first win in three games.

The first half saw the visitors pin their hosts back into their own half and created several chances.

However, as they began to build a comfortable lead, City became a little slack and allowed the home side to carve out a few opportunities before the break, but Seltic were unable to capitalise and the half ended with Chelmsford 4 – 0 ahead.

The game continued in much the same way after the break, with Elizabeth Marshall and Sharon Brownlie on the left wing combining well to add to City’s strong attack and by the time the final whistle had blown, City had taken their tally to nine goals.
