taken free kick that was just wide. Colchester continued their fast playing one
touch football and see a great shot go just wide. The City defence and midfield
worked hard to send the ball up to the hard working Jolly and as the Colchester
keeper come out Jolly coolly chipped the ball over the keepers head 2-1 City.
City had further efforts from Jolly and Alder who's shots were just wide. Taylor
took City's corner and Brown's header was just caught by the keeper. Just before

Colchester counter attacked and scored another to put them in the lead. A quick
Britton throw to Wheate who sent a long ball to Jolly who headed a perfectly
placed ball into the net 3-3. City stepped up a gear and the hard working
Colchester were just starting to tire. City's Brown earnt a free kick and
Davis's shot was caught by the keeper. Colchester had a fantastic attacking
spell and Parker's saves spared City's blushes. City were awarded a free kick
which Wheate stepped up to take, and from 25 yards out a promising free kick was

A
fantastic game to finish City's pre season and put us in good stead for the
League. Colchester played excellent quick one touch football, and both teams
worked hard. Our new signings have settled in with ease and the whole team has
gelled together.
