Sharon Brownlie - Manager/Coach

Sharon joined the club as a player in 2001 and has made over 270 appearances in a Chelmsford shirt. Sharon currently holds the UEAFA B license (FA Level 3) as well as having completed the FA Youth modules 1 and 2. Sharon's other coaching roles have included U12 Head Coach at Millwall Girls Centre of Excellence, U13 Coach Essex FA Player Development Centre (currant) and the University of Essex Women's team (current).

  

Caroline Brown (Captain), Position: Defender

 'Caz' joined the club last season and has had spells playing for the University of Sheffield, Sheffield United and most recently Sawbridgeworth Town. Caz was voted Captain of the team this season, which is a testament to her strong leadership skills both on and off the pitch. Caz is a strong and committed player and can be mostly found at right back.

Laura Kendle (Vice Captain), Position: Defender

'Kendle' returns to the First Team after a three year hiatus from completing her studies at the University of Kent, where she held the role of team Captain. Laura is one of the longest serving members of the team having travelled up the ranks from the clubs Junior section. Kendle and her 'head of steel' can be found at the heart of the defence and her communication and leadership skills have recently seen her voted Vice Captain this season. Laura also holds her FA Level 1 and is involved in coaching within the clubs Junior section.

Sarah Waters, Position: Goalkeeper

Sarah joins us this season having previously played for our reserve side. The Reserve Teams 'most improved player' brings a wealth of experience having been involved in last season's League and League Cup winning side. Sarah is also an accomplished Cricketer having represented Essex at County level this year.

 

Clare Pearson, Position: Goalkeeper - Photo to follow

Clare is one of the longest serving members of the club having also come through the Junior Section. Clare has made 202 Senior appearances and featured for the First Team during the back end of last season which she had some outstanding performances. Clare holds the FA Level 2 and is heavily involved in coaching within the clubs Junior Section.

 

 

Amy Vernon, Position: Defender

'VK' is another product of the clubs youth system having previously worked her way up through the Junior Section. Amy has since made 226 Senior appearances and is one of the longest serving members of the current First Team. Amy also holds the FA Level 2 and is involved in coaching within the clubs junior section and is also the first teams self styled 'social secretary'.

 

 

Kayleigh Franklin, Position: Defender

'Joey Essex' joined the club in 2008 from West Ham Ladies and is one of the youngest members of the team. Kayleigh is extremely versatile having played in many different positions over the years but she can now be found playing in defence. She is an extremely hardworking and committed member of the team and always gives 100% in training and in games.

 

Leanne Stubbings, Position: Defender - Photo to follow

'Stubsy' also joined the club from West Ham Ladies in 2008 and has made 63 senior appearances so far. Leanne is capable of playing in many different positions across the back four as well as in midfield. Stubsy is currently in her second year at the University of East Anglia studying for her degree.

 

  

Zoe Strong, Position: Midfielder

'Zoe Taylor' is one of the longest serving players in the team having made 190 appearances for the club. Zoe has spent the majority of her time at Chelmsford playing in defence but her explosive speed has meant that she has now found her home playing wide midfield.

 

   

Helen Alder, Position: Midfielder

Helen is a long standing member of the team having come up through the youth section. Helen has made 211 senior appearances and has scored 69 goals. She is an extremely talented player and can be found in the centre midfield. She has a great vision as well as a good eye for goal.

 

 

Georgia Wheate, Position: Midfielder

Georgia joined us in 2008 from Ipswich Girls Centre of Excellence and has made 82 appearances for the club. Having spent her early years at the club in central defence she is now well established in central midfield. Having spent most of last season on the sidelines due to injury, we are pleased to see Georgia back on the pitch where she belongs.

 

 

Lynsey Bowman, Position: Midfielder

'Bowman' joined the club in 2010 from Braintree Town and has quickly become an established member of the team. The left sided midfielder is a real handful for opponents due to her speed and technical ability. Her performances last season also earned her the Most Improved Player Award.

Emma Wells, Position: Midfielder

'Teddy' returns to the first team after playing most of last season with the reserves helping them to win the League and League Cup. Ted is one of the longest serving members of the team having also come up through the junior section. She has made 216 appearances scoring 62 senior goals. Ted is a flexible player which means that she is able to play in a number of positions including in defence and midfield.

 

Grainne McLaughlin, Position: Midfielder - Photo to follow

'G' also returns to the first team this season having played most of last season with the reserves which she will also continue to share her time between. Grainne has made 77 appearances for the club and has scored 34 goals. G gives 110% in every game and can play in a number of positions including wide midfield and up front.

Nicki Medici, Position: Midfielder

'Nicki Minaj' rejoined the club this season while she's on a work placement having completed her first year of studying at Loughborough University. Nicki has made 52 appearances for the senior section having played most of her football previously with the reserves. Nicki is extremely adaptable and is able to play in most positions which makes her a real asset to the team.

 

 

 Jasmine Wheeler, Position: Centre Forward

'Jaz' also came up through the Clubs Junior Section and has made 196 appearances for the seniors, scoring 59 goals. Jasmine is a hardworking forward player who works tirelessly during games. She is a technically talented player and the use of both feet has allowed her to play in a number of different positions.

 

 

Kim Jeffery, Position: Centre Forward

'Gooner' joined the club in 2010 from Saffron Walden Town and was joint top goalscorer last season. Gooner's size and stature allows her to hold the ball up well and her flexible approach to the game has also meant that she is able to play in a number of different positions

 

  Emma Ridings, Position: Centre Forward

Emma is the longest serving player in the First Team, she has made 337 senior appearances and scored 328 goals which is an incredible return. Although very much a forward player, Emma is able to play in a number of different positions including centre half which she performed for a huge chunk of last season.

 

Ashleigh Harding, Position: Centre Forward - Photo to follow

'Ash' has been at the club for a number of years having made her way up though the clubs junior section. Ashleigh has made 146 senior appearances for the senior section and scoring 69 goals. Ashleigh was also part of the title winning reserve team last season and will split her time between both teams this season.

Mollie DeBell, Position: Centre Forward

Mollie is the youngest player in the team having come up from last season's Under 16's team. Mollie has good technical ability and is able to read the game well. As well as her technical skills she also brings some youth and energy into the team this season.
