Laura Kendle - U10 Coach

Laura Kendle is now in her first full season of coaching having passed her FA Level 1 Coaching Badge in the summer, and this season she is taking on the role of U11 coach. Laura has been involved with the club for the past seven years, having joined back in 1999 as a junior player. Since then she has made her way through the ranks of the club and is now playing in the First Team. Alongside her coaching and playing, Laura also designed and maintains the club website.

Last season Laura began assisting Sharon Brownlie with her U11s, before taking over the older U10 group for the final few months of the season. Laura is now relishing the challenge of taking the girls to the next level as they join the Essex County Girls League this season: “The girls are really enthusiastic and I know they can’t wait to start playing competitively this season, so it’s hopefully going to be an enjoyable season for everyone. In the time I spent coaching them last season I got to know the players very well and they are a great group; I now can’t wait to get started for the new season.”

Within the U11s setup there is also something of a family connection, with Laura coaching the team, her dad Ian managing, and her younger sister Emily playing. This relationship is one that Laura is again looking forward to:
