 DOUBLE HEADER

 Game One

 Corton Ladies 0 – 6 Chelmsford City

CHELMSFORD made the long haul to Lowestoft on Sunday, hoping to take home six points from their double header against Corton Ladies.  City got off to a fine start as they raced into a two-goal lead, courtesy of a well-placed Laura Brown effort and a fine strike from Sarah Jolly.  Emma Wells increased the deficit before the break, with a cracking strike from just outside the Corton penalty area.

Despite leading 3-0, City continued to raise their game in the second half, and their perseverance and hard work paid dividends as they eventually ran out 6-0 winners.  Sarah Jolly and Emma Wells both grabbed another goal apiece, while Emma Ridings’ persistence in the centre of midfield also paid off with a merited goal.
