At half time it was the visitors who led by a solitary goal after a forward broke free of the hard working City defence, to fire an unstoppable shot into the net, giving keeper Clare Pearson no chance.
After the break, Chelmsford kept battling hard and continued to push the opposing team on the back foot. Ten minutes into the half Chelmsford equalized when Dawn Barnard fired a left foot shot from the edge of the area over the keeper into the net.
Emma Ridings, who had been a major thorn in the side for united all afternoon, rounded off a fine display with two goals of her own to help her side record a memorable result which ensures City will finish in the silverware as they are assured of Runners-Up spot.
