Sunday 5^th October 2008, Wash Road, Brentwood Kick Off 10.00am, Essex County Girls League Under 11 Western Division.
 
  On what can only be described as a very wet morning, Chelmsford took to the pitch under the captaincy of Charlotte Barnard for Chelmsford’s 3^rd fixture of the league season..

  Chelmsford started very brightly and soon had Hutton on the defensive with again some good work on the wings from Ashton Payne and Charlotte Barnard. Barnard opened the scoring with a fine solo goal to make it 1-0 and soon after, Sophie Vale made it 2-0 with another well taken goal after some good work from Payne on the left wing. Barnard finished of the half with a well worked goal between herself and Vale to finish the half 3-0.

  Repeated substitutions where again plentiful, due to the awful conditions, Anna Copping and Maddie Twaite again gave a commanding performance in there holding midfielder role giving cover to the defence. In defence Gaby Hill was having a very strong game keeping at bay Hutton’s lively forwards and Courtney Green gave confident display in goal.

  The second half resumed after a quick break with Vale netting City’s 4^th goal after some great work on the right from Barnard.

  Hutton cored what turned out to be a consolation goal before Vale scored twice more to complete a comprehensive victory for Chelmsford.
