  This was always going to be a tough task against the 100% league leaders and so it proved, although the final scoreline was a bit harsh on the young Clarets who unfortunately conceded three goals in the final eleven minutes.   City didn’t help themselves by falling behind after just a minute, and only the agility of goalkeeper Christie Lucking stopped LTD from quickly doubling their lead. A defensive error on 20 minutes did indeed gift the visitors a second goal, but to their credit Chelmsford rallied and after the break could have reduced the deficit. Firstly Emily Kendle saw her shot from distance held by the ‘keeper, Jennifer Baldock’s effort was desperately scrambled away and then Leanne Miles’ corner was cleared off the line. However, LTD soon regained the initiative, and despite the excellence of ‘Girl of the Match’ Hannah Tomsett, the late trio of goals ultimately saw them ease to victory.
