Chelmsford City 5 - 0 Sporting 77
Sunday 10th May 2009 at Marconi Leisure, kick off 1.00pm. Essex County Girls League Under 14 Division 2.
After a slow start, City introduced Inez Hockaday to the action on 20 minutes and she made an immediate impact, taking the ball through the centre of the Sporting defence before rounding the goalkeeper to slide the ball home.

A few minutes later, Rosie Coe made it 2 for City, beating the Sporting 'keeper at the far post. Mid-way through the second half Shannon Jones added a third for City, bundling the ball home from close range.

Excellent defensive work from Gabby Freedman gave the Sporting forwards very little opportunity to attack the home goal. Sporting could not cope with the pace and strength of Hockaday and Coe, allowing Hockaday to add two more goals before the final whistle to complete her hat-trick with her 26th strike of the season.

This has been a superb campaign for City who finish the season as Division 2 runners up.
