City pushed their top of the table opponents all the way before the greater experience of West Bergholt sealed a slightly flattering score line. It was the visitors who raced into a three goal half time lead although the balance of play was even. City struggled to break down a resolute visiting defence but after the break, it was a different matter. As a snowstorm swept across the ground, a resurgent City had slightly the better of the game and created numerous chances. They soon found the net and got the score line back to 3-2 through Ashleigh Harding and Emma Ridings goals. With City continuing to push forward in looking for the equalizer, they were caught twice on the break in the final stages which resulted in two late goals but City can take heart from this battling performance, showing they can compete against the better teams.
